Cell formatting not updating

23 May

Other references are updating fine though, it is just this one [email protected] Williams Both Ctrl-Alt-F9 and Ctrl-Alt-Shift-F9 updated the cells and made it so they are updating correctly. I searched the Excel Help and found this in the help article titled the ctrl alt f9 , is the temporary solution , going to options-formula-auto calculate is the right way, that option turned manual, because some shortcut key on being pressed by mistake turns automatic to manual I had a similar issue with a VLOOKUP. Because it has attracted low-quality or spam answers that had to be removed, posting an answer now requires 10 reputation on this site (the association bonus does not count). After saving and reopening, the spreadsheet is still working correctly. The field I was using to VLOOKUP was formatted as a custom field. Clearing this error (selecting all fields with the error, beginning with the first one with the error and clicking change to Number even though I didn't really want it to be! Would you like to answer one of these unanswered questions instead?

The cell is referencing another cell, which has a formula in it.

Issue: I am in a situation where I have a cell (A1) referencing another cell (B1), which contains a =SUM() number value with the format of "number, 2 decimal places", but cell (A1) has a conditional formatting on it of "Cell Value which updates my formulae but this conditional format is only getting applied the first time the value goes over 1000...

if it is less than 1000 it does not go back to its original format.

In addition, this is creating a major error trap in a spreadsheet that needs to be correct.

Is there some obscure setting that has been triggered in this file that is creating this issue?
