Exchange 2016 out of office not updating

15 Jun

Microsoft Exchange 2007 provides the ability to set the Out of Office autoreply for internal and external email messages. When the internal Out of Office autoreply is set in Microsoft Outlook 2007, the Out of Office autoreply is synchronized and updated on the Black Berry smartphone. It does not support setting server-side rules to move or manage messages and contacts or to act on calendar events. That means that all rules created in Outlook 2011 will be applied only when Outlook 2011 is running. In the next step of the wizard check and click the “a specific template” link in the Step 2 box.Now for the Reply Template dialog browse to the location of the template you saved and click Open, select any exceptions you want (you don’t need to choose any), and then click Next. Please first go into ADUC (Active Directory Users and Computers), expand the domain, locate the Users, in the right panel, find the user that you need to set the Out Of Office. Logon(Show Dialog:=False, No Mail:=True, Profile Info:="mailserver" & vb Lf & txt Username. Right click it, in the Exchange Advanced tab, click Mailbox Rights, confirm your account has the rights for read permissions and full mailbox access. After that, please open Control Panel, locate Mail icon, double click it, click Show Profiles button, click Add button, then follow the wizard to create the user profile.

There is no way to do it from the Exchange system Manager, but you can give yourself FULL access to their mailbox, and the profile, and do it that way. As Kara pointed out, instead of the profile, if you have outlook web access enabled (OWA), you can use that.

You’ll need to combine an Outlook email template and create a new rule to simulate an Exchange server-type solution.

Just follow the steps below and you will be good-to-go! To do that click the Home tab on the ribbon and create a new email.

Note: starting with Outlook v.14.3.5, server-side rules are supported for Exchange Server 2010 SP1 and higher.
